In a part of the TanQuid tank farm in Oberhausen (Bavaria), fuels have gotten underground and pollute the groundwater with volatile aromatic hydrocarbons (BTEX) and mineral oil hydrocarbons (MKW).
In order to secure a contaminated site, the main source of contamination is hydraulically secured and the contamination line is remediated by Pump and Treat. For this purpose, a water treatment plant is operated in a specially built hall.
